Denver Trip

Happy 49th Anniverary to mom and dad!! Lynn treated us all to dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse!
Dawson ate an entire bucket of peanuts by himself! Needless to say, his dinner went home with us in a box.

Denver Trip

At the train station in SLC waiting to board! It's 4:30 in the morning and dad found a newspaper announcing Obama as the winner. (boo) At this point, we've already been up for 2 1/2 hours.

Dawson finally fell asleep at hour 16 of the 17 hour train ride!

To pass some of the lengthy voyage, we visited the dining car and had a $9 sirloin burger!

Any kind of excuse to play with fire!

I'd be worried if I was that scarecrow!

Maddi had to work last night, so it was just me and the boys carving pumpkins. Connor says he hates to carv pumpkins, but he always joins in and freehands a cute pumpkin! He's such a goof!

For UEA, this year, we skipped Disneyland and went to see the Body Worlds exhibit. It was at The Leonardo in SLC. It was pretty cool, but Daws was starting to get grossed out and Connor was complaining and just wanting to go to lunch. (As usual) Maddi and I found it very fascinating. Maddi like to see the muscles and stuff, but was hoping to see what the fat looks like on bodies. We finally ran into an exhibit that showed a 300 pound man cut in half lengthwise. When Maddi saw it, she put her arms in the air and said loudly, and excitedly, "Yes! Obesity!" It was pretty funny. Everything was anatomically correct, so Con got a hoot out of seeing all the old, dangling junk haning on the men!

Its Autumn Time! Doesn't Steve looked surprised and Happy?

Thursday, September 25, 2008

Well, here we are. "The Pioneer Posse". Although the kids truly hate the name, Steve and I have finally embraced the Lehi Pioneer Heritage and city theme. We love our Lehi and are proud to be Pioneers!

Sunday at Grandma Rodens

Here is a photo from a typical summer, Sunday night for dinner at Grandmas. The kids love being outside and being active. The grandkids will always remember these get togethers. These photos were taken on September 21, 2008. The only family September birthday is Bonnie's. Happy Birthday Bonnie on September 27th!!

What kind of name is pioneer posse?!

Hello. This is the cool kids. Connor and Maddi. Does anyone else have a problem with the name pioneer posse? Because we most definitely do. We aren't being mean about it though, because our mom said, and we quote: "If I see anything rude, I will take it off! I'm serious guys!" And so we aren't being mean, but we would like to change the name of our family blog. Any suggestions can be posted here. Also, if you know how to change the name, that would be helpful, because we don't. We've tried. Welp, see ya later!

Welcome to the 21st Century

This blogging stuff is very new to me! I don't think I even know what it means, but I love to check out other people's pages and thought I'd better get on board! I'm not a great or witty writer, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! I'm sure the kids will take over anyway and make it fun for anyone who dares to visit our page!
